Kirsten Jackson – Consultant Gastroenterology Dietitian and Founder

Kirsten Jackson is The IBS Dietitian – a consultant UK registered dietitian specialising in IBS and author of ‘Take Control of Your IBS – a step by step guide that actually works’ specialising in IBS.

Kirsten first became interested in the area of IBS when she suffered with the condition herself – and she was already a registered dietitian. Despite knowing all the science behind IBS, she felt that nothing really worked (not the probiotics, low FODMAP diet, stress management techniques and many other things).

Kirsten eventually realised that knowing the science is not enough, you also need to understand when and how to apply it to the individual. She was able to control her IBS using what she now calls The Take Control method which involves 4 main pillars: movement, sleep, mental health and of course nutrition.

Being in control of her IBS has been life-changing. Having the energy to live beyond basic day to day chores, take up new hobbies, feel confident in her body, travel and enjoy eating out once again.

Over the past 12 years Kirsten has helped 1000s of people take control of their IBS so that they no longer need to live in fear and confusion over what their gut will do.

Outside of working with IBS patients, Kirsten is also the co-founder of The Dietitian’s IBS course which is CEU accredited training for dietitians wanting to work with IBS patients.
